A local QR code generator you can trust

Many online QR generators send what you type to their servers, and some wrap your link in a redirect they control. MeCard Plus works differently: the code is drawn on your own device, contains exactly the data you entered, and keeps working without any middleman.

Every code is checked automatically. The app reads the finished image back the way a phone camera would and confirms it decodes to your data before you download it.

How to make a QR code

  1. Choose what the code should open: a website, contact card, Wi-Fi network, email, phone call, SMS, map location, calendar event or Bitcoin payment.
  2. Fill in the details. Invalid entries are flagged straight away, so a broken code never reaches print.
  3. Style it with colours, dot shapes, corner styles and your logo, and wait for the scan status to turn green.
  4. Download a PNG, SVG, JPG or WEBP file up to 2048 pixels, or copy the image straight into your design.

Static codes that never expire

These are static QR codes: the information is stored inside the pattern itself. There is no account to keep alive, no scan limit and no subscription, so a code you print today keeps scanning for as long as the print is readable.

Frequently asked questions

Is this QR code generator really free?

Yes. There are no paid tiers, no watermarks and no sign-up, and you can use the codes you create for commercial work.

Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. MeCard Plus runs entirely in your browser. Contact details, Wi-Fi passwords and photos never leave your device, and the site uses no analytics or tracking.

Do the QR codes expire?

No. They are static codes, so the data lives inside the code and keeps working as long as the printed code can be read.

Which phones can scan these codes?

Any recent iPhone or Android phone can scan them with the built-in camera. Contact cards open an add-contact screen, and Wi-Fi codes offer to join the network.
